Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just fancy a scenic day out, Moel Arthur has something for everyone!Heres everything you need to know about the Moel Arthur Circular Walk Moel ArthurMoel Arthur is part of the Clwydian Range and stands proudly as an Iron Age hillfort. Yep, the spot youre standing on once had a thriving ancient settlement how cool is that? While theres not much of the fort left to see, the sense of history is still palpable.As you climb, you can imagine what it must have been like to defend this spot all those centuries ago. But dont worry the only invaders youll encounter today are the sheep! The Views from Moel ArthurLet me tell you, the views from the top are absolutely worth the effort.On a clear day, you can see the peaks of Snowdonia to the west and as far as the Wirral and even Liverpool to the east.Its one of those places where you just want to stop and soak it all in. Pack a snack or two and enjoy a well-deserved rest at the summit theres plenty of space to sit and marvel at the sweeping landscapes. The path is easy to spot, and youll head straight into a gentle ascent along a well-defined track. Youll notice how green and peaceful it is right from the start no traffic noise here, just the sounds of nature.The route gradually steepens as you take a left path and climb towards the hillfort at the summit of Moel Arthur. Dont be fooled by its modest height youll definitely feel it in your legs! But the path is well-trodden and easy to follow, winding its way around the hill. Before long, youll find yourself on top of the ancient fort, with 360-degree views that make the effort more than worthwhile.After taking in the views, the circular route continues along a track that heads down from the summit, in the opposite way that you came. As you descend, the path curves around the base of the hill, taking you through wild moorland and offering a new perspective on the landscape.Take a sharp right turn as you reach the base of Moel Arthur to join the Offas Dyke Path. Heading off for a 16 day road trip to Scotland and not wanting to pack 16 sets of underwear, the Scrubba provided the perfect solution. After a quick look at the packaging and turning the bag inside out, it becomes more obvious how the Scrubba differs theres a built in wash board! This means you can agitate the fibres in your clothing far better than if you were just hand washing clothes in a sink.It folds up really small, making it perfect to take away with us. With 5 different beds to sleep in, lots of sea swimming and definitely not wanting to take 16 sets of underwear each, we had the perfect opportunity to put the Scrubba washing bag to the test.Using the bag is easy and intuitive and there are guide lines printed on the bag which show how much water to put in, depending on how many items of clothing you need to wash. Theres another guide which shows how to roll the top of the bag closed prior to use. Once filled with water and your chosen detergent, theres a handy little air release valve which gently removes any excess air trapped inside the bag, and once done, youre ready to get scrubbing.A top tip from me, is to use laundry detergent sheets (we use Dr. Beckmann Magic Leaves) they take up next to no space or weight when youre traveling and did a brilliant job for us popped inside the Scrubba with hot water.It might sound a bit weird to say, but I actually found the process of using the Scrubba highly theraputic. Perhaps it was in part down to the location I was using the washing bag in. The Isle of Mull has rapidly become my happy place, its where I return to when I need to reset my nervous system and feed my soul, and a huge covered veranda with stunning views and not another soul for miles provided the perfect location Ive never been happier to wash clothing by hand, so much so I offered to do my husbands too.As well as using the Scrubba to ensure we had clean underwear throughout our road trip, it was also super useful for cleaning our swimwear after swimming in the sea, and after a food spill on a t-shirt, the Scrubba did the job again.Final thoughtsThe scrubba claims to be a portable, power-free washing machine, and it is!
