Well, here we are. Im 35, and while Id like to think that means Im in my prime, theres no denying the looming spectre of 40 on the horizon. But instead of panicking about grey hairs (already found a few) or wondering if I should finally start taking yoga more seriously, Ive decided to focus on something far more exciting my UK bucket list (adventure edition!)!Its time to embrace my love for the outdoors, mountains, and adventure before I need a knee brace to do it all. So, without further ado, here are the epic adventures I want to tick off before I blow out those 40 candles (and yes, Ill need extra lungs for that!). Heres my UK Bucket List . 1. Walk the Anglesey Coast PathAnglesey: home to stunning coastal views, adorable wildlife and rugged landscapes. This magical island in North Wales has always had a special place in my heart! At 130 miles, the Anglesey Coastal Path offers everything from rugged cliffs to serene beaches. Ive walked sections of the path, and theyre some of my favourite walks in North Wales - but Ive never conquered the whole route in one go.Walking this path feels like the ultimate way to explore this Welsh gem and embrace my inner wanderer.Other walks nearby:Cemlyn Bay Circular WalkLlanddwyn island Walks 11. Conquer Striding Edge and Summit HelvellynStriding Edge, the infamous knife-edge ridge leading to Helvellyns summit, is a rite of passage for any hiker who loves a bit of adrenaline. The challenge, the views, and the sheer drama of it all have me itching to lace up my boots and go. I just havent had the opportunity, with a toddler in tow! But it sounds like the ideal adventure for our next child-free weekend away!Sure, my legs will probably hate me the next day, but standing atop Helvellyn after conquering that ridge? Ride the North Coast 500 in a CampervanScotlands North Coast 500 is the ultimate road trip and had to make it onto my UK Bucket List! 516 miles of jaw-dropping coastal scenery, charming villages, and plenty of opportunities to park up and soak it all in.Im dreaming of long days on the road with my family, discovering hidden beaches, and ending each evening parked by a loch, watching the sun dip below the horizon. The NC500 feels like the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, with just the right amount of campervan chaos thrown in for good measure. 4. Experience the Fastest Zip Line in the WorldConfession time: Ive already done this one, and it was AMAZING.But who doesnt love adding something to their to-do list, so they can immediately tick it off? (I cant be the only one to do that, right?)Zip World in North Wales is home to Velocity 2, where you zoom over a quarry lake at speeds of up to 100mph. One of my favourite outdoor activities in Snowdonia!My heart was in my mouth, and my legs were jelly, but Id do it again in a heartbeat. Hike Snowdon for SunriseAs someone whos trekked up Snowdon more than a few times, youd think Id have already done this. But nope, sunrise is still on my to-do list! Theres something magical about the idea of reaching the summit just as the sun peeks over the horizon, bathing Snowdonia in golden light.Plus, itll be early enough to avoid the crowds - and the queue for summit selfies.Other nearby hikes:Cwm Idwal Circualr WalkCadair Idris via the Minffordd PathY Garn via Devils Kitchen 6. Experience the Giants CausewayIts not every day you get to walk on a UNESCO World Heritage Site created by volcanic activity (or a giant, depending on who you believe). The interlocking basalt columns of the Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland are an iconic sight, and Im determined to stand there, camera in hand, pretending I know how to frame a decent Instagram shot. 7. Explore the Jurassic CoastAs a hiker and a mum, this ones perfect for ticking off with a toddler in tow.The Jurassic Coast, a 95-mile stretch of fossil-filled cliffs and turquoise waters, is a beautiful part of England. Id love to hike sections of the South West Coast Path here, pausing to hunt for fossils and pretend Im an archaeologist.Picture a slightly frazzled mum channelling her inner adventurer - this UK bucket list is all about embracing the chaos and conquering the outdoors!8. Hike the UK Three PeaksAnother one Ive already achieved - and wow, what an adventure it was! Climbing Snowdon, Scafell Pike, and Ben Nevis in one epic challenge is no small feat, but the sense of accomplishment is unbeatable.If youre tempted, do it! Wild Camp in the Scottish HighlandsNow this is one Im equal parts excited and nervous about. Theres something so raw and adventurous about the idea of pitching a tent in the wilds of Scotland, surrounded by nothing but nature.But also Im a serious overthinker. Im imagining sunsets over lochs, distant stags, and maybe a cheeky dram of whisky to keep me warm. Lets just hope I dont forget the midge spray.Are you an experienced wild camper? While I probably wont do the whole thing in one go (because, you know, life), Im eager to explore sections of it, soaking in the history and imagining myself as a Roman soldier or maybe just a very tired hiker.11. Give Coasteering a Go!Coasteering is the ultimate mix of adventure and chaos, and its high time I gave it a go! Imagine scrambling over rocks, jumping into the sea, and navigating rugged coastlines - all while trying not to look like a complete amateur. Its wet, wild, and a bit bonkers, but thats exactly why its on my list. Lets face it, wearing a wetsuit and diving into the unknown is about as adventurous as it gets.
