Packed correctly, its by far the best in our collection, it genuinely keeps ice for four days. Its a big unit, so it wont suit everyone, but for our camping style its ideal.Ive been using passive cool boxes for over 25 years, and this is my third at around this size (both previous ones were Coleman). Five years in, I have no doubt it has at least another five left in it, probably more, making it a genuinely worthwhile investment at the 120 I paid.COOL BOX REVIEWLong term test resultsTheres value in reviewing a product after a handful of trips, but theres far more in coming back to it five years later. I bought this back in June 2021, so how is the Igloo Maxcold Cooler holding up? Brilliantly. It still looks great, performs consistently, and the only real change is a few extra stickers.My decision came down largely to budget: I didnt want to spend more than 150, which immediately shortened the shortlist. I knew I needed around 5060 litres of internal space, along with sturdy carry handles, wheels, and a drainage spout. Add in the claim of keeping ice for up to five days, and the Igloo was the clear winner.VerdictOwning three cool boxes is arguably a little ott, but context is everything. For a solo overnight trip, something this size is overkill. If were a little tight on space but still need several days of cooling performance, well reach for something slightly smaller.But when space isnt an issue and were camping with friends or as a couple in the height of summer for more than a night, this is the one I choose every time.One honest consideration, its a heavy beast when fully packed, and getting it in and out of my small SUV requires a bit of manoeuvring, which is exactly why with a cooler of this size, wheels arent really optional and sturdy handles are a must.On reflection, Im genuinely happy with this purchase.
