Wild Irish Walks was set up to provide information and advice for people who are interested in getting out into the beautiful countryside that we are lucky to have in Ireland.
What I want to create is a resource to allow people to get out into the open air in the most enjoyable way possible.
Too often, there is a perception is some sort of endurance activity. While physical fitness is required, it’s possible to to get out walking no matter what level of activity you are used to.
It’s ok to have a company transfer your bags on a through-hike, it’s ok to want to go for a nice dinner after a hard day’s walking and it’s definitely ok to enjoy a nice pint of Guinness as a reward for completing a long trek. It’s about experiencing nature and enjoying yourself along the way.

- WILDIRISHWALKS.IESlieve Bearnagh Hike via Trassey Track and Hares GapI think the Slieve Bearnagh hike is my favourite mountain summit trail in the Mournes. Thats saying something given the very strong competition from Slieve Donard and Commedagh, as well as Slieve Binnian. However, I think the Slieve Bearnagh hike just shades it for me. One of the main reasons is that I just loved []The post Slieve Bearnagh Hike via Trassey Track and Hares Gap appeared first on Wild Irish Walks.0 Kommentare 0 Anteile 1288 Ansichten

So let me []The post Irelands 4 Peaks Challenge Climb the Highest Point in Each Province appeared first on Wild Irish Walks.0 Kommentare 0 Anteile 963 Ansichten

- WILDIRISHWALKS.IESlieve Binnian Loop From Carrick LittleThe Slieve Binnian Loop is a really popular walking option in the Mourne Mountains. The route proves challenging yet not overly long.
