CAMPING GEAR | Is The Ninja FrostVault Cool Box A Campers MustHave?
For UK camping enthusiasts, the Ninja FrostVault HeavyDuty Insulated Cool Box has quickly become one of the most talkedabout coolers in recent seasons. Officially launched in the UK in March 2024, it brings Ninjas signature FrostVault technology to our shores and has been winning acclaim ever since. But is it worth the investment? Here we share our thoughts on the Ninga FrostVault cool boxWhat Makes the Ninja FrostVault Special? At the heart of the FrostVault is its innovative drystorage drawer, which stays chilled at fridgesafe temperatures (below around 4.5C), and is separate from the icefilled main compartment. This separation means no more soggy sandwiches or crushed snacks, perfect when youre packing picnic items like chilled meats and bread.Built with approximately 7cm of insulation, this heavyduty cool box can keep ice frozen for up to 5 to 6 days in laboratory conditions and realworld testing has demonstrated retention of 29 hours to reach 8C in hot weather, or nearly four days in glacier mode. What Sizes Are Available? In the UK youll find at least two hardcooler sizes:30Qt (28L): Fits up to 48 cans without ice or 26 cans with ice. Lightweight at around 910kg, includes gravityrelease drain plug and sturdy carry handles.50Qt (47L): Holds up to 80 cans (no ice) or 45 cans with ice, or about 50 bottles. Heavier at about 13kg, but its larger capacity is ideal for extended trips or groups.Ninja also offers wheeled versions like the 30Qt wheeled cooler and even larger 65Qt models, plus backpackstyle soft coolers in the FrostVault Go range, although the latter carry a shorter warranty and diminished cooling abilities. Is The Ninja FrostVault Cool Box Good For Campers?Although weve not tested it ourselves, the general consensus of the Ninja FrostVault Cool Box is very favourable. Customers praise the coolers excellent ice retention, robust build, and smart dry drawer feature and for those using the insert while frozen (glacier mode) the average ice retention is an impressive 4 to 5 days.Independent testing (such as Toms Guide and The Guardian) includes the FrostVault among the best nonelectric cool boxes in 2025, highlighting its insulation performance, thoughtful features such as the drain and wheels, and overall value for money. Some downsides noted include its heft full models are heavy to lift or pull without wheels, and it sits at a premium price point making it comparable to the likes of the Yeti Tundra 45L. The size of the 28L variant also takes up a fair bit of space in vans, boots or camping setups, but then any similar large cool box is going to be bulky.Ninja FrostVault Cool Box Performance SummaryFeatureKey Benefits for CampersIce retention 56 daysKeeps supplies cold across multiday tripsDrystorage drawerKeeps food separate, dry and accessible (e.g. sandwiches, fruit)Heavyduty buildDurable enough to stand on and resist knocksEasy drainage & drawConvenient to empty / access contentsWheeled optionsEasier to move across grass or packed campsitesGenerous warrantyFiveyear limited warranty when registered in UK/ROIRRP for the 42L with wheels is 279 but weve spotted it on Amazon.co.uk for 199, which we think offers good value for money, especially when compared to similar sized and performing coolboxes like the Yeti Tundra 45L cool box or the Engel Ultra-Light 56L cool box.Take a look at our tried and tested recommendations of 10 Of The Best Passive Camping Cool Boxes 2025 which include a wider variety of price points, with options under 120 for those on more of a budget, but still seeking great cooling performance.Check out current prices of the Ninja FrostVault Cool Box on Amazon. GEAR | Jetboil Genesis Basecamp System Review
This is a serious bit of outdoor kit thats sturdy, capable and a true game changer for group campsite cooking. Read on for my full review of the Jetboil Genesis Basecamp System. What is it?Jetboil Genesis Basecamp System RPP 399.99StockistsJetboil.co.ukAmazonFeaturesFast and efficient folding 2-burner stove5L FluxRing Cook Pot 10 ceramic-coated fry pan Carry BagWindscreenFuel RegulatorFuel Can StabiliserCompatible with standard isobutane fuel canistersOver the past couple of months, Ive had the pleasure of using the Jetboil Genesis Basecamp System on several camping trips and have also used it at home. This premium all-in-one solution has proven to be an excellent cooking system, particularly well suited to families and group cooking situations. The standout feature is its oversized cookware; a 5litre FluxRing saucepan and a 10inch frying pan, which are both large enough to cater for 4 or more people in one go. Despite this large cooking capacity however, the design is brilliantly compact. Both burners, pot, pan, lid and regulator hose neatly nest into one compact kit that fits into the carry bag, making it easy to transport and quick to set up.Setting the system up is intuitive. The folding twoburner stove features a lever ignitor on each side and the controls are responsive and offer precise simmer adjustment. The ceramiccoated, nonstick fry pan and large pot are beautiful quality, making cooking hearty meals, like a spaghetti bolognese, effortless.I really liked the fact that I wasnt limited by which fuel I could use, and with existing Coleman and Primus isobutane fuel canisters, both could be used and were easily attached via the included regulator (see bottom left). The control knobs took a little getting used to, but 3 full rotations will take you from 0 to maximum flame, which means you have the ability to fine-tune the flame, perfect for when a gentle simmer is called for, or when you want to heat water fast.Downsides for me have got to be the price, and yet comparing this to similar double camping stoves isnt easy as there is nothing on the market that Ive come across that can be directly compared. Jetboil Genesis Base Camp Compact 2 Burner Cooking SystemJetboil Genesis Basecamp Camping and Overlanding StoveJetboil 1.5L Ceramic FluxRing Cook Pot for JetboilJetpower Isobutane Fuel 450 G by JetboilMost double stoves are rectangular and have two fixed burners (take a look at our review of the Primus Kinjia), increasing their bulk and requiring pots and pans to be stored and transported separately, so it feels like the Jetboil Genesis Basecamp System is in a class of its own, one its very much leading.Whilst I love the FluxRing heat exchanger technology built into the bottom of the large saucepan, it felt like the frying pan should also have included a similar FluxRing design, mainly becuase the only real downside I came across, was the supplied windscreen which felt a little flimsy and awkward in use and essentially, like a design afterthought. If its proper cooking in the wild youre looking for, but you dont want something that takes up too much space, the Jetboil Genesis Basecamp is well worth investing in. If youre serious about food on your adventures and need something powerful, compact, and group-ready, this is the system to beat. The best bitsIt cooks quickly and efficientlyThe quality of the pans is excellentBeautifully clever compact designGreat fuel efficiencyHigh level of flame controlIn-built automatic ignitionRapid boiliding in the FluxRing pan, heating 1 litre of water in 3 1/2 minutesFinal thoughtsI can confidently say this is hands-down one of the best portable cooking system Ive ever used. Whether youre whipping up breakfast for the family or cooking a proper meal for a group of hungry campers, this system is built for it and whilst its not quite perfect, its very close.Jetboil Genesis Base Camp Compact 2 Burner Cooking SystemJetboil Genesis Basecamp Camping and Overlanding StoveJetboil 1.5L Ceramic FluxRing Cook Pot for JetboilJetpower Isobutane Fuel 450 G by JetboilDISCOLOSURE | We were supplied the featured product from Jetboil in return for providing our honest opinions. CAMPING | Creative Ways to Document Your Camping Adventures
Placed CollaborationFor many, camping is magical, pitching a tent with a view, meals around an open flame as the sun sets and brings a carpet of stars to dream beneath. While it undeniably brings us closer to nature, it can also bring us closer to each other and ourselves. It gives you the opportunity to breathe it all in and appreciate the tiniest of moments.Butterflies visiting wildflowers, a hazy morning mist, and flames dancing in the dark. The memories made are glorious, but often fade too quickly. So, today well walk you through some creative ways to document your camping adventures and keep the memories alive.Journals & SketchbooksThere is something very tactile and personal about jotting your thoughts and feelings down in the moment to reflect upon later. If you arent much of a writer, then a sketchbook can also help you capture a moment in time beautifully.A Daily ReflectionMaking a note of your experiences while they are fresh in your mind is cathartic and serves as a great reminder of the moment. You can pull out your journal with your morning coffee or wind down with it in the evening and summarise the day.Reflect on what you heard when you woke. Did you see any animals? Make a note of the route you took, what you cooked, any mishaps, and the stars at night.Sketches, Maps & DoodlesYou dont have to be artistic to sketch your experiences camping. Images can speak volumes and make for rich memories.Whether it is a rough sketch of your campsite, a doodle of a critter, or a scribbled trail map. Using a sketchbook to document visually is storytelling at its finest.Photo Diaries & Mini Travel BlogsIf your drawing skills are truly lacking but you are a visual storyteller, then another great way to remember your trip is through captioned photo diaries. Embrace your inner shutterbug and get snapping!Candid Moments are Gold DustWhen the views are breathtaking, we tend to focus on the landscape, but capturing the candid moments triggers the real memories made camping together. The muddy bottoms after you lost your footing, the tent-pitching struggles, and the friend who snored beside the fire. Capture the emotions, not just the scenery.Online Sharing & Printed BooksMost of us share a few holiday snaps on social media, but you might want to turn your snaps into a private blog and keep your family updated on your adventures.Remember, using a VPN for UK-based services can help you access familiar sites, regardless of where you are. It also helps secure your connection and privacy.Natural MementoesAnother superb way to keep memories alive is to take a little bit of your trip home with you. Of course, so long as it is done respectfully.Memory BoxesMany of us have memory boxes with mementoes such as baby teeth, concert tickets, medals, or locks of hair. The same can be done with your camping trips by taking a small memento that reminds you of the place.Use a wooden box or mason jar and pick your trinkets, be it a pinecone, a shiny pebble, or a pretty pressed flower. Dont forget a label with the location and date!Camp-Themed CraftingYou can take your mementoes one step further and get a little crafty. You can add pressed flowers or twigs to a picture frame and display a camping snap.Pine cones can be made into centrepieces for your coffee table. Shells and other natural finds can be easily strung into wall hangings or used for decorative wreaths. Get creative!Get the Whole Family InvolvedIn fact, 93% of camping families feel that it brings them together, and documenting the experience together only cements that sentiment. It can also make it all the more enjoyable. So, here are some ways to make it a shared activity.Disposable Cameras and Notebooks for KidsA childlike perspective often has more wonder and whimsy, so let the little ones snap their own photos or doodle what they see. It will be adorable and maybe even hilarious.Scrapbooking TogetherA brilliant way to bond and create a wholesome keepsake is to have everyone contribute to a family scrapbook.Documenting your camping adventure from multiple angles makes the memory comprehensive.Tickets, handwritten notes, doodles, photos, and dried leaves and flowers make for an unbeatable memento. Conclusion: Keeping Camping Memories AliveCamping provides the opportunity for discovery and adventure, it builds bonds, and the memories can be some of the best. Whether its awe-inspiring scenery, huge triumphs, laughter, or quiet joy, you will want to bottle it up to relive again.Documenting the magical experience with intention helps to keep the memory alive. Hopefully, with todays creative inspiration, you will be able to preserve the magic in the way it deserves.DISCLOSURE | This post is a paid placement from. The post CAMPING | Creative Ways to Document Your Camping Adventures appeared first on Camping Blog Camping with Style | Travel, Outdoors & Glamping Blog.

WELLBEING | From Sleep to Steps A Day in My Life with the Garmin Forerunner 165
CollaborationOver the years, Ive owned a fair few smartwatches and fitness trackers, and Ive definitely found some that stand out from the crowd. Most recently, Ive been using the new Garmin Forerunner 165, and its quietly become one of my favourite bits of everyday kit. Read on to find out moreThis watch has slotted into my routine so naturally that I almost forget Im wearing it, until it buzzes to remind me Ive been sitting too long or flashes up my morning sleep report that helps me understand why I feel sluggish despite an early night. So, heres a little peek at how Ive been using the Forerunner 165 across a typical day, and why I think its so brilliant.Forerunner 165 FeaturesSome years ago when I first started my C25K running journey I had an entry-level Garmin Forerunner which did the job, but was pretty basic. Fast-forward 6 years and the Forerunner 165 smart watch is a leap ahead and its designed specifically with runners in mind, with heaps of features. Colourful Amoled DisplayTouchscreen & ButtonsBuilt in GPSMorning ReportTraining EffectRace Adaptive Training Pace, Distance & Heart RateDaily Suggested WorkoutsGarmin CoachBody BatteryTraining Metrics & Recovery InsightsDont let all that running functionality put you off though, it effectively tracks more than 25 different sports and tracks all the basics youd expect like steps and sleep too.Stats after a short after-work treadmill runOne of the tools in my feel-good arsenal is always exercise. I exercise becuase moving my body makes me feel good and I enjoy it. Enjoying something of course, doesnt always mean that finding the time to do it is easy, and whilst Im definitely lucky that I enjoy moving my body in a variety of ways, fitting it into a busy life can be tough, and let me tell you, Im inconsistent as all heck. I mean, wheres the dopamine hit from routine and consistency?!Staying on track for me has always meant obsessive tracking, from knowing exactly how many grams of protein Im ingesting each day to how many minutes Ive spent in optimum heart rate zones, Im an absolute nerd for the stats.I loved how much information the watch provides without me even needing to open the app. The two pictures below were taken after an evening treadmill run, and clearly showed me the good stuff all the details I like to know, like heart rate zone and aerobic score, right there on my wrist! The Garmin watch immediately played well with my Garmin app and took seconds to connect. The app is truly wonderful, putting a whole heap of different information at your fingertips, so if like me, you like lists, charts, spreadsheets and graphs, youll love the information collected by the Garmin app.Morning Sleep Insights & Gentle StartsIm not a naturally early riser, so any kind of help getting me going in a morning is more than welcome. The Forerunner 165 provides a daily sleep report, showing how long you slept, your different sleep stages, and even how well youve recovered. Its not about chasing perfection, far from it, its just about better understanding your body. Lately, Ive noticed a direct link between low recovery scores and days when I crave sugary foods and when my joints are prone to a flare up (thanks, Palindromic Rheumatism). Having that data at my fingertips helps to me decide when I need to take it easier, so I naturally give myself a little more grace on those days.Once Im up, Ill check my Body Battery score to see how my energy reserves are looking, and if Ive got time, Ill squeeze in a short pre-work treadmill run or schedule a lunchtime walk, both of which are tracked effortlessly.Sea swimming with the Garmin 165 Forerunner smart watch on a solo summer breakMidday Movement Reminders & Motivation BoostsI spend a lot of time at my desk, and its easy to lose track of time when Im deep in writing or editing mode. One feature I really appreciate is the movement alerts. At regular intervals, the watch gives me a nudge to get up and move just a gentle reminder that Im not in fact a houseplant.Sometimes that means doing a few cat-cow and downward dog stretches, grabbing my weights and doing a few reps, taking a walk to the kitchen, or doing a few minutes of breathing exercises (which the watch also supports). Its a small feature, but its made a noticeable difference to how I feel at the end of the day and it has helped to increase my overall step count too, proving that seemgingly small habits can have a big impact. On the days I fancy a proper workout (and have the time and energy), I love that the Forerunner 165 easily tracks my treadmill runs, open water swimming or yoga sessions. I can view detailed summaries on the Garmin app, which is super easy to use and doesnt bombard me with jargon.Evening Custom Workouts & Wind DownThe watch is brilliant at keeping me at a steady pace and treadmill calibration is easyOne of my favourite things is how customisable it is you can change the watch face to match your mood or outfit, and tailor the data shown to exactly what you care about most. Whether thats steps, heart rate, V02 Max or recovery, its all just a glance (or a tap) away. For those that want something super simple, yet accurate and powerful to track little more than daily steps, you can keep it simple and easily customise your watch face to show only what matters to you. Likewise, if youre training for a race or just want to improve your Parkrun time, the detailed running stats available mean you can tailor it to your exact needs and preferences. As my day winds down, I always check back in on my stats and will even go to bed earlier depending on my sleep score the previous night, even if I dont feel particularly tired. Did I get my steps in? How high did my heart rate go during that run? And if I didnt hit a goal, thats fine too, the data helps me make better choices tomorrow.Sitting in the sunshine with a brew, reviewing my morning report whilst on holidayFinal ThoughtsThe Garmin Forerunner 165 isnt just a fitness watch, I regard it more as a little pocket coach, a tiny little cheerleader that helps me stay accountable, but also flexible. Im not about all-or-nothing workouts or smashing personal bests every week, I dont have a competitive bone in my body, I just want to feel stronger, move more, and take care of my health in ways that feel fun, rewarding and fit with my busy life.Whether Im walking, swimming, running, on my yoga mat, or just trying to make it through the day with less fatigue and more self-awareness, the Forerunner 165 has been a fabulous addition to my journey towards improved health and wellbeing.DISCLOSURE | This content was written as part of a paid collaboration with very.co.ukWhere to next?WELLBEING | The Fat, Asthmatic & Reluctant Runner Learning To Love Running in My Late 40sWELLBEING | Celebrating The Joy Of Little Wins With a Bit of Help From My Garmin Venu 3SWELLBEING | I Find Some Time To Rewild On A Solo Camping & Wild Swimming Micro AdventureThe post WELLBEING | From Sleep to Steps A Day in My Life with the Garmin Forerunner 165 appeared first on Camping Blog Camping with Style | Travel, Outdoors & Glamping Blog.

Planning a Camping Road Trip? Why You Shouldnt Forget to Check Your CarTyres First
CollaborationTheres nothing better than setting off on a camping road trip to discover the UKs picturesque countryside. Whether its the rugged natural beauty of the Peak District or the peaceful and tranquil Norfolk Broads, it is a pleasure to get out into nature. But before you leave on your camping road trip, theres one very important step that is often forgotten by campers, checking the car tyres.Car Tyres: The Unsung Heroes of Every Road TripWe think about the camping essentials like the tent, sleeping bags, food, and weather conditions. However, what about the car tyres that get us there? Your car tyres are the only point of contact between your vehicle and the road and this means theyre vital, not just for comfort, but for your safety as well. If your car tyres are worn out, damaged or without correct air pressure, it will result in less grip, longer braking distances, and even a catastrophic blowout and breaking down in the middle of nowhere is the last thing you want. Whether youre on a local trip or a cross-country drive, your car tyres must be in the best possible condition so that you can travel safely to your destination.Dont Leave it to Chance Get Expert Help Before You GoSo, if you are concerned about the state of your car tyres, it is highly advisable that you have a professional check them. Replacing worn tyres before a trip is far better than dealing with a breakdown on the road. Several reputable car tyre specialists offer free tyre checks, reliable tyre servicing, and expert advice. For instance, you can trust Magowan Tyres for all your car tyres needs before camping. Theyll help you check your car tyres pressure, get a new set of all-season tyres, or select the right fit for your vehicle. Theyll make sure youre fully road-trip ready.Car Tyres and Terrain: Know What Youll Be Driving OnCamping often means leaving the road behind and navigating rough and gravel tracks. If your site is far from the road or you want to drive off-road, make sure your car tyres are ready for the job. Choose tyres that offer good traction and are highly durable on mixed terrain. Also, check that your spare is in good condition, or you should bring a puncture repair kit just in case.Save Fuel and Stay Safe with the Right Car TyresWorn tyres not only increase accident risk but also reduce fuel efficiency. Car tyres that are not inflated properly cause more rolling resistance, which results in more fuel consumption. Thats money you could you could spend on a picnic or even a pub meal.A Smooth Start to Your AdventureA camping trip should be a restful experience, not a stressful one. By ensuring that your car tyres are in good condition, you will not only reduce the chance of unexpected delays but also secure the safety of your passengers and have more fun on every mile.So before you choose your playlist or prepare your snacks, make sure your car tyres are in good condition theyre the most important part of a smooth, safe, and much more fun journey to your camping spot.DISCLOSURE | This content is a a paid collaboration, placed by Magowan Tyres.Where to next?CAMPING GEAR | 10 Of The Best Passive Camping Cool Boxes 2025CAMPING | Hot Weather Camping Itehil Solar Rechargeable Portable Electric Fan ReviewCAMPING | Camping Tips For Hot Weather Stay Cool Under Canvas This SummerThe post Planning a Camping Road Trip? From Rainstorms to Ridge Walks: How to Set Up Your Smartwatch for the Outdoors
CollaborationSmartwatches have quietly started to become one of the most useful pieces of outdoor gear, right up there with your trusty waterproofs, torch, and favourite hiking boots.Image by freepikWhether youre heading out for a day hike in the hills, a wild camping weekend, or a longer off-grid adventure, your smartwatch can actually do a lot of the heavy lifting for you. From keeping track of your route and monitoring your vitals as you do it, to giving you weather alerts and even storing your favourite music choices, its like having a personal guide right there on your wrist. But heres the thing, though: if your smartwatch is still stuck running on its out-of-the-box setup, it is probably not really ready for the wild just yet.So before you get out there and hit the trail, heres how to properly prep your smartwatch for outdoor use, rain, sweat, mud and everything else.1. Extend Your Battery Before You Even Leave Your HomeNothing knocks your motivated mood quicker than a dead smartwatch halfway through a hike. Make sure you:Charge it fully the night beforeSwitch off all of the background appsUse low-power or expedition mode if your smartwatch has itReduce screen brightness and vibration to save your juiceTurn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when you are not using itIf youre using your GPS tracking all day, its a smart idea to download offline maps in advance so you are not draining the data while on the go.2. Is it Waterproof or Just Water-Resistant?Not all watches are made equal when the skies open up mid-hike.If youre expecting classic British weather, make sure your device has a minimum of 5ATM or an IP68 rating, whichll cover you well for rain, sweat, and even the odd dunk into a stream. But even if the watch itself is water-resistant, the watch strap attached might not be. Leather bands absorb water, metal ones can get clammy or freeze-cold, and cheap fasteners can easily slip when wet, not ideal when youre scrambling over some wet rocks. If youre using an Apple Watch, check out this breakdown of trail-tested watch strap options for the Apple Watch that hold up in the face of the elements. It covers the most durable picks for hiking, camping, and all-weather wear, so your watch will stay feeling comfortable and secure, no matter the conditions they are worn.Image by freepik3. Set Up Reliable GPS Tracking (Without Tanking Your Battery)A good GPS signal can be a real lifesaver when you are heading off the beaten path, but it is also one of the quickest ways to drain your battery. To get the most out of it:Use your built-in navigation apps (such as Komoot or ViewRanger) that fully support offline mapsTurn on GPS tracking just before you are about to set off, and turn it off once you are finishedKeep your route quite simple and downloaded in advance; this will reduce the load on your watchs processorSome smartwatches will also allow you to set GPS ping intervals, longer intervals (e.g. every 30 seconds) use less battery than constant tracking.4. Activate Your Offline Features (So You Dont Fully Rely on Signal)The moment you leave town, youll likely lose your signal, and thats not the time to discover that your watch cant do very much without a Wi-Fi connection. Before your trip, it is a good idea to check if your watch can:Track workouts without needing a phone nearbyDisplay offline maps or breadcrumb navigationAccess saved alarms, weather updates, and sunrise/sunset infoLog sleep, heart rate, and other health metrics locallyMany of the more up-to-date smartwatches on the market now offer offline mode or custom profiles for outdoor sports; these are really worth setting up ahead of time.5. Store Music and Podcasts LocallyWe all know that a bit of music can be a huge mood booster when your legs are starting to ache or the tents proving more tricky than normal. If your watch supports it, download playlists, audiobooks or podcasts directly onto the device itself before your trip. That way, you can pair your wireless earbuds and keep the vibes going strong, even when your phones in aeroplane mode or out of signal range.6. Clean and Check Your Watch Strap Post-TripAfter your adventure finishes, dont forget to give your watch and strap a proper clean down. Dirt and sweat can quickly build up in crevices, especially if youve been active or near sand, mud or water.Rinse down silicone or nylon bands with lukewarm waterGently wipe down the watch face with a soft clothLet everything air dry before your next wear (no hairdryers or radiators)This helps extend the life of both your smartwatch and your watch band, and keeps things feeling fresh (especially if you wear it every day).Small Tweaks, Big DifferenceIt is so easy to assume that your smartwatch is good to go right out of the box, but a few of these quick tweaks can massively improve your outdoor experience with your tech.Optimising your battery, turning on offline tools, and switching to a weather-ready watch strap are simple upgrades that can make your watch much more useful and way more comfortable when youre far from home. So, whether its ridge walks in the Lakes or a rainy campout in Snowdonia, make sure that you take a few minutes to get your tech gear fully trail-ready, and youll be glad you did.Where to next? The post From Rainstorms to Ridge Walks: How to Set Up Your Smartwatch for the Outdoors appeared first on Camping Blog Camping with Style | Travel, Outdoors & Glamping Blog.

If it had the word bumper on the cover and was packed full of word searches, colouring-in pages and dot-to-dots, it was enough to keep me happy for hours and days on end. Of course, life is very different now, and kids are more frequently glued to screens and spend far less time outdoors than we did. With rates of childhood anxiety soaring and generation Alpha facing a unique set of challenges in navigating a digital, increasingly distracted and nature-disconnected world, I wanted to bring a taste of my own, simple, happy childhood to the kids of today.I didnt want the book to be all colouring-in pages and silliness, though. I was also keen to provide real value and draw on topics we cover here on the blog related to wellbeing, and to provide creative activities like creating nature mandalas and rock painting, designed to fire imaginations. With my daughter now grown up, its a bit of a gamble writing for a younger audience, but no matter how old our kids are, we never forget the things they loved when they were little, and I know that aged 8, shed have loved a book like this that provides equal parts fun and silliness along with learning craft skills and gentle education.I firmly believe that spending time outdoors contributes to our happiness. Having experienced my own mental health challenges, I know firsthand that reconnecting with nature is a valuable way to manage difficult emotions, whatever our age. Time in nature is a powerful and effective means of fostering a greater sense of wellbeing, and in its own small way, that is precisely what this first book sets out to offer.Let The Adventure BeginWhether youre heading off on your very first tentative family camping trip, embarking on one of many camping holidays, or simply pitching a pop-up tent in the back garden for the children, I hope youll consider purchasing The Colossal Camping Activity & Fun Book from Camping with Style! The post Look Inside: The Colossal Camping & Activity Fun Book by Camping with Style COMING SOON! appeared first on Camping Blog Camping with Style | Travel, Outdoors & Glamping Blog.

For those who choose to camp with an EHU, then taking a fan from home is possible, but for the rest of us, cooling down inside a tent isnt always easy. There are of course a plethora of handheld rechargeable fans out there and a small USB desk fan can easily be run off a power station for a few hours, but fans are generally power-hungry and sustained use without an EHU is problematic. The portable fan from Itehil is the perfect summer camping accessory, combining a slim and lightweight profile with a powerful 4-speed fan, easily charged using the integrated solar panel. With an RRP of 119 this isnt cheap by any means, but for camping trips in a heatwave, its worth its weight in gold. Rated 4.5 out of 5 on Amazon, this is an excellent product delivering versatile cooling thats perfect for home use and for summer camping trips.Ive been confined to indoor runs for some time due to injury, so running indoors in the living room on my treadmill isnt comfortable in hot weather. I set up a small clip fan and now use the Itehil fan when running to help keep me cool.
